I love changing the railings in a foyer. It makes such a dramatic difference.
Here is a before shot of a foyer with the typical wood railing found in most
homes.
Look at the dramatic change we created by adding the iron railing and this was all bought from a catalog. A custom railing was not in the budget for this job but the selections we chose make it look custom. The black color gives it a great contrast and notice how we darkened the handrail stain too.
This is a custom iron railing done by a local iron worker. The before on this was the same wood steps and wood balusters. We changed this to limestone treads and brass handrail. WOW!
This last design had the same before railings - wood balusters and wood hand railing. We completely changed this to an all stainless steel criss cross pattern. Changing your railings can be a dramatic change for your foyer - it really makes a statement.
