If you'd like to send us photos to include in next week's "pets on furniture" post, please ensure your photos follow our basic rules: First, the pet must be on a piece of furniture. And said piece of furniture must be clearly visible in the photo, so it takes center stage rather than your pet. Think of it more of a photo of a great piece of furniture that you want to show off...and your pet happens to be sitting on it. And second, the photo must be of decent quality. If it's dark or fuzzy (from a camera phone) then it may not make the cut. Thanks! (Photos, your name, location and a brief description can be sent to desiretoinspirekim@hotmail.com and PLEASE don't send closeups of your pet!)?
I am sending you some photos from an interior design job I did in Santa Monica, CA. I brought my dog George along for the photo shoot and my photographer, (who I wanted to focus on the room!) just could not get enough of him!! He actually took a whole slew of pictures of just my dog (of which I have spared you!)

I don't have a pet of my own (yet - a grey staffy is on the wishlist!) but couldn't resist sending in this photo of Ruby, the house cat at the amazing Araucaria house in Byron Bay, NSW. The owners operate the house as a B&B, my partner and I stayed there over the Easter break and fell in love with Ruby who went to sleep at the foot of the bed each night. The house was pretty spectacular as well!

This is Lollipop lounging on a beautiful LA day. I picked up this piece at a flea market in Austin, Texas. The seller, a woman in her 50s had retrieved it from her parents' belongings. She took off the original green upholstery (ouch, I always wished I had it with the original cover). At first I didn't like the print but I've worked it into my belongings.
